Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026. This is our anti-spam policy. It applies to everyone who uses the Acquirely Platform (app.acquirely.io) or our done-for-you services, and it is part of our Terms of Service.
1. What Acquirely is for
Acquirely is for lawful, relevant business-to-business (B2B) outreach: contacting people at companies, at their work addresses, about something that is reasonably relevant to their role. Good cold email is honest, targeted, low volume per inbox, and easy to say no to. Our limits exist to protect your domains, other customers, and the shared warm-up network.
2. What every sender must do
- Follow the law wherever you and your recipients are, including CAN-SPAM (United States), GDPR and UK GDPR, PECR (United Kingdom), and CASL (Canada). Some of these laws require consent or a legitimate interest before you email someone; it is your job to have one.
- Give a working way to opt out in every campaign email, such as an unsubscribe link or a clear “reply to opt out” line, and keep it working for at least 30 days after sending.
- Include a valid physical postal address for your business in your emails.
- Honour opt-outs promptly, and within 10 business days at most. Don’t email that person again from any inbox, domain, or campaign, and don’t re-upload them.
- Be truthful. Use a real person or business in your from-name and an accurate subject line that is not misleading about what the email is.
- Only connect inboxes you own or are authorized to use.
3. What is banned
- Phishing, or any attempt to collect passwords, payment details, or personal data under false pretences.
- Malware, viruses, or links to them.
- Illegal content, or promoting illegal products or services.
- Adult or sexually explicit content, and content promoting hate, violence, or harassment.
- Deceptive emails: fake “Re:” or “Fwd:” threads, false invoices or urgency, impersonating another person or company, or hiding who you are.
- Emailing consumers (personal addresses, for personal-use offers) without their prior consent.
- Purchased, rented, or scraped lists where you have no lawful basis to contact the people on them.
- Getting around our sending limits, for example by creating extra accounts, rotating new domains to hide complaints, or splitting volume to dodge review.
- Using the warm-up network for real campaigns, or sending anything other than warm-up traffic through it.
- Sending on behalf of another business without permission, or reselling access to the Platform without our written approval.
- Attacking, probing, or overloading our systems, or trying to reach other customers’ data.
4. Complaint and bounce limits
We watch spam complaints and bounces on every account. We may automatically pause sending on an inbox, a campaign, or the whole account if:
- Spam complaints go above 0.3% of emails delivered, or
- Bounces go above 5% of emails sent.
We may also pause sending for other strong signs of abuse, such as blocklisting, spam-trap hits, or reports from mailbox providers. To resume, you may need to clean your list, fix your copy, or slow your volume. We may lower your limits until your numbers recover.
5. What we can do
If you break this policy, or we reasonably believe you have, we may warn you, pause sending, remove content, lower your limits, turn off warm-up, or suspend or terminate your account. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it, but we may act right away to stop harm. If your account is suspended or terminated for breaking this policy, unused credits are forfeited and fees are not refunded, as set out in our Terms of Service. We may also report illegal activity to the authorities.
6. Report abuse
If you got an unwanted or abusive email sent through Acquirely, email zane@acquirely.io with the full email (including headers if you can). We review every report, act on it, and stop the sender from emailing you again. You don’t need an account to report abuse.
7. Changes
We may update this policy as laws and mailbox provider rules change. We will post the new version here and change the “Last updated” date.
